Anthony Michael Hall has been cast in a guest-starring role on the seventh season of Psych.
Hall will play a character named Harris Trout, an eccentric police consultant recruited by the mayor to improve SBPD efficiency, reports TVLine.
Psych stars James Roday and Dule Hill as two lifelong friends who solve crimes together.
Season seven of the USA Network series will air this winter.
Hall is best known for his roles in John Hughes films such as Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club.
He previously appeared in television shows Warehouse 13, Community and Dead Zone.
