If the truth will set you free, Amber Portwood has no worries of going back into the slammer.
The 24-year-old Teen Mom, out of jail since last month, admits in an upcoming TV interview that she was NEVER sober during her time in the limelight, between the MTV show and the various media appearances she made to promote it.
“This is actually my first time on stage sober, so I’m nervous,” she said, adding of Teen Mom, “Every time you see me on that show, I am high as a kite.”
Portwood said in the chat that at her lowest point in the depths of drug despair, she “didn’t care” if she lived or died; and that she once resorted to eating a drugged patch to get high while rehabbing.
Portwood’s brother Shawn told In Touch that a huge motivator for his sister to mend her ways was to reunite with her daughter Leah, 4.
“She never wants to be in a position where she won’t be there for Leah again,” he said.
As we previously reported, Portwood was released from custody last month after 17 months behind bars. In May 2012, Amber voluntarily turned herself in to authorities — as opposed to completing a drug court program — following her Dec. 2011 arrest on a probation violation.
Justin Bieber kissed his mom Pattie Mallette on the red carpet of the Los Angeles premiere of his newest flick Believe Wednesday, a day after he raised eyebrows exiting a black van that emitted plumes of suspicious smoke when he opened the door.
The “Baby” singer wore a red suit with his hair spiffed up as he kissed his mother — who was quite the knockout herself in a snug silver dress that exposed plenty of cleavage. Bieber’s grandparents were also on hand for the big night, as were young Hollywood upstarts Jaden Smith and Kylie Jenner.
At the premiere, bad boy Biebs had a special section set up for graffiti artists on hand to ply their craft.
The 19-year-old star — who’s been tied to a handful of marijuana-related incidents, caught the attention of the Los Angeles Police Dept. with the van stunt, as online reports indicated the boys in blue were keeping an eye out for his party-on-wheels.
The Biebs’ new album Journals hits iTunes Dec. 23, while the film will hit theaters Dec. 25.
With fans and paps clamoring for him like a king, Justin Bieber exited a smoky black van en route to an interview on L.A.’s Power 106 Tuesday.
The 19-year-old star, who’s been tied to marijuana in the past, ambled out of the vehicle in an all-black outfit with extra saggy pants.
Bieber told the radio station, “After the new album, I’m actually, I’m retiring man, I’m retiring,” though people in the pop star’s camp said he was kidding, according to online reports.
The Canadian crooner’s new album Journals hits iTunes Dec. 23.
